Nothing drilled and nothing filed. Our dentist builds tooth-coloured resin onto your teeth to cover chips, close gaps and hide stains, usually in a single appointment at our Kenilworth High Street practice.
"This a really great dentist - real people who are friendly, professional and have a genuine care for their patients."
Composite bonding is tooth-coloured resin, applied to your tooth and shaped by hand. Your dentist builds up the edge, closes the gap or covers the mark, then polishes it so it catches the light like enamel. It is the same family of material used in white fillings, but here it is being used to change how a tooth looks rather than to repair a hole.
We use it for:
Bonding usually lasts around five years with good maintenance before it needs replacing. That is the honest figure. Red wine, coffee and smoking will shorten it, and biting your nails or opening packets with your front teeth will shorten it a lot.
Bonding, veneers and aligners get confused with each other, so here is the short version. Bonding adds material to the tooth you have. Veneers cover the front of the tooth and usually involve preparing it first. Clear aligners do not change the tooth at all; they move it. If the problem is the position of your teeth, no amount of resin will fix it properly, and we will tell you that at the consultation rather than after you have paid.
One sequencing point that saves people money. Teeth whitening only works on natural enamel. Bonding will not lighten with it. So if you want both, whiten first, let the shade settle, then match the bonding to your new colour.
Do it the other way round and you will be paying to replace bonding that no longer matches. Whitening with us is £299 until 31 December 2026, which includes the consultation, your bespoke trays and four syringes of gel.
We are at 37 High Street in old Kenilworth, close to Abbey Fields, behind a royal blue front door. The station is under a mile away, and the 16, X16 and 24 buses stop nearby, with on-street parking close to the building.
Bonding suits people who cannot spare months of appointments. One visit of about an hour, no follow-ups unless something needs adjusting. We are open 8:30 to 17:30 Monday to Friday and on select Saturdays throughout the year (please call to check), which matters if you are commuting into Coventry, Warwick or Birmingham and cannot keep taking mornings off.
We see patients from Warwick, Leamington Spa, Balsall Common and the villages around Kenilworth. Opening times, a map and a virtual tour of the practice are on our practice location page.
A note on timing if you are booking around an event. Bonding is done and finished on the day, so a wedding or a work photograph in a fortnight is no problem. Whitening beforehand needs longer, usually a few weeks of wear, so tell us the date at your consultation and we will work backwards from it.
Send us your details and we will contact you to arrange a date and time for your appointment
